#16: Dear Evan Hansen

Dear Movies are Life,
I don’t consider myself a negative podcast, but I can’t help but feel some angst against the 2021 film adaptation of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen. The music is wonderful and I’m glad it addresses real-life issues, but it completely goes about it the wrong way. Good thing that Nathan Chandler has brought in his best friends, Abel Cass, Todd Ferguson and Kyle Radford to make sense of this story that captured the heart of Broadway, but whose reputation has been tarnished by the movie’s direction. I hope Nathan can salvage his friendship with his guests after making them watch this clunky film.
