This week, Michelle and Marissa talk to Laura Bruner about the postpartum period. Laura talks about her experience postpartum and how important it was to have community and support during this time. Michelle share's some about her experience being 3 weeks postpartum with baby #2 during the COVID quarantine. We talk about self-care and how you can set yourself up during pregnancy for an easier time postpartum. We also talk about some personal experiences with guilt about parenting during a time when there is a lot of pressure to "get back to normal" after giving birth.
Questions to ask yourself if you're feeling guilt: Can I know for a fact that I somehow caused this? Is it serving me in any capacity to hold on to this belief? Who would I be if I were to let go of this story I've told myself?
