Release Date:

A member of the Romanian Academy and son of an academician, Professor Valeriu V. Cotea is one of the most important people in Romanian research, but also an elite trainer, through whose hands countless engineers, winegrowers and oenologists have passed. 🍷

From the interview:
- Moldova owns almost half of Romania's wine-growing area,
- For some, being an engineer sounds more important than being an oenologist,
- Wineries must know what they want from oenologists and know how to motivate them,
- Of all my roles, that of a professor is the one I like the most,
- OIV decides the rules that the wine must comply with in order to be marketed internationally.

🎙️ The Wines of Romania podcast is inspired by the Deschidem Vinul Românesc / We Open the Romanian Wine program, a national program developed by Carrefour Romania, dedicated equally to consumers and wine producers in Romania.
