Send us a Text Message. The diet cycle and the constant obsession with your body can wreak havoc on your mental health. It's draining, it can make you feel like you are doing everything wrong, like you have no self control. It's draining.  One of the biggest wins in my health journey has been my improved relationship with my body and my mental health. I used to say things like "The gym is my therapy" and "My workouts are my therapy" but that is not something I agree with anymore.  I learned the hard way that workouts are not a substitute for therapy. Workouts are good for your health, physically and mentally, but they are not a replacement for seeking help if you are really struggling. You can focus on all of the right things... the macros, workouts, progressive overload, water, supplements, etc but if you don't also focus on your mental state you will not feel satisfied in your journey. Your workouts, your nutrition and your mental health are all linked but should also be addressed separately to make sure there is a balance. I get real in this episode about my own experience with my physical and mental health and I hope it helps you. Shop fitness programs at: https://www.kristycastillo.com/workout-programsCheck out my 1-1 coaching program, where we cut the BS, and learn what to do to get the results you want-for life!
