Do you have shoots booked into next year? Do you have income set aside to cover the lean months in December, January, and February? Have you set up your business officially with the IRS?  All of these questions point to your mindset about your business. Are you taking it seriously? Is it a side hustle OR do you really see it as a business meant to support you and your family? If you are still in “side hustle” mindset, then it may not yet be time. You’ll need an exit strategy for leaving your corporate job and in that strategy you should consider benefits, savings, your bills, etc. All the things that make your life go round.  Also, this is an unprecedented season. All of the people who had to cancel sessions last year and early this year are now looking to book. If you’re ready based on this period of insane growth, then you may want to wait until things level out!
