Release Date:

You can't escape the pain.  It's a consequence of life.  You can try and numb yourself, but it's not sustainable for the long term.  Wherever you go, there you are.  Everything about you gets carried with you until you decide to unpack the hurt, pain, and trauma. It's necessary in order to grow.  The big mistake most people make is continuing to carry their traumas with them into the next part of their lives, friendships, or even a new relationship.  Stephanie Castro is the Owner of At Home Pet Sitting and we have the pleasure of her sharing the journey she's taken to process the traumas and disappointments of life. In this episode, Stephanie and Jeff share their experiences with marriage and the disappointment of divorce after investing much of their time believing they were living the happily-ever-after.  Stephanie recalls talking to a friend when she was crushed who had invited her to Landmark Forum, a very popular group focused on self-development.  Jeff and Stephanie talk about the spiritual sides of belief, watching signs from the universe, and having blind faith when it comes to taking unprompted action.  Stephanie talks about her journey into an intense self-development program with Landmark and described it as the equivalent of opening the refrigerator door, opening it, and seeing the Grand Canyon.  Stephanie shares how she was at rock bottom when she made a blind decision to take a chance and invest some time in herself at the end of her marriage. In front of hundreds of people on Zoom, she shares her absolute disappointment at the ending of her marriage with a room of perfect strangers.  (Just a little-known fact about Stephanie: She is not a huge fan of public speaking).  This episode is riddled with takeaways for anyone going through a rough patch in life.  Lean in and prepare for a very intimate discussion about the core of life.......the heart.    What You'll Learn:  Hitting rock bottom can be a necessary step to opening oneself up to self-improvement. Vulnerability and growth can be powerful tools to become “awake” and gain a new appreciation for life. Sharing one’s story can help in the healing process.   Favorite Quote "I'm on this journey.
