This continuity in relationships can mitigate the trauma associated with entering foster care, promoting a sense of security and belonging. Moreover, when siblings are kept together, they are more likely to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially, as they can provide mutual encouragement and companionship during a period of upheaval and uncertainty. Ultimately, prioritizing the preservation of sibling bonds in foster care not only contributes to the well-being of each individual child but also reinforces the foundation for healthy family dynamics and future relationships.
