Retrospective: Why get an MFA?

This is #1 of a 10 part inquiry into the lives and experiences of 11 people who got the same Masters of Fine Arts, though in various disciplines, from the same institution (the San Francisco Art Institute) in 2001. and 20 years of reflection and experiences post graduation. I am calling the series 'Retrospective'.

In this episode I wanted to know why they chose to pursue an MFA in the first place and why they chose SFAI in particular.
