This is the third event in the Brazil Talks webinar series: Sustainability, Innovation and Productivity.The transformation to a low carbon economy and adaptation to the climate crisis is one of the priorities raised in COP26 by all countries.Significant efforts have been made in the Brazilian industry, specially in the latest decade, towards greater efficiency and sustainability. Focus has been given in lower carbon emissions, and social and environmental responsibility. With this modern fashion, Brazilian industry has the potential to become an important player not only in South America, but also in the global community.The strength of the Brazilian industry represents a less pollutive production with lower transportation costs, due to the country’s proximity to many consumer markets. The country has already one of the cleanest energy matrixes of the world, and has a significant room for improvement from its privileged potential from solar, wind, biomass and hydraulic sources of energy.By applying low carbon technologies developed locally and abroad, Brazilian players have received prizes and recognition worldwide. The Brazilian market for hydrogen is one of those examples, in which home based and foreign investments have given it high levels of international competitiveness.
