Scott Beatty

Before he wrote for comics and other comics-inspired projects, Scott Beatty was the founding editor of ToyFare magazine, a spin-off from Wizard that focused on, what else, toys! But comics and superheroes are his original passions, and you can see that on display in his "Sidekick Trifecta" that he co-wrote with Chuck Dixon: Robin: Year One, Batgirl: Year One, Nightwing: Year One, in addition to Joker: Last Laugh. And 20th Anniversary Editions of these books are starting to hit shelves! Besides the actual comics, he's written a ton of superhero reference books, including Ultimate, Definitive, and Essential Guides to the Avengers, Batman, DC Comics, JLA, Superman, and Wonder Woman!
