After initially being recognized and mentored by Wildstorm's Whilce Portacio, Leinil broke it big at Marvel. There, he took on major titles like Wolverine, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk (written by Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof). Leinil has worked with a murderer's row of top writers, including Mark Waid on Superman: Birthright, Brian Michael Bendis on New Avengers and Secret Invasion, Mark Millar on Ultimate Comics: Avengers 2, and Ta-Nehisi Coates on Captain America.
