Dawson won his first AJGA start in Nashville and went on to play at Lipscomb University for four years. During his college career, Dawson accumulated 10 victories, including NCAA Regionals medalist honors in 2017. After college, Dawson played on the PGA Tour Canada for two years before earning his Korn Ferry card in 2019 through Q-School.
