Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries, 80, was arrested on October 22, 2024, on federal charges including sex trafficking and interstate prostitution. The indictment alleges that from 2008 to 2015, Jeffries, along with his partner Matthew Smith and employee James Jacobson, operated an international sex trafficking enterprise.They are accused of luring young men, some as young as 19, with promises of modeling careers, then coercing them into sexual activities under the guise of professional opportunities. Jeffries and Smith were arrested in Florida; Jacobson was arrested in Minnesota.
