Vayakhel-Pekudei Collectivism versus Individualism

Release Date:

On the one hand we’re told that were part of a collective whole the Jewish people, yet on the other hand, we’re told that every person is a world for himself, which one is it and can they coexist? This weeks Parsha tells us just like building of the Mishkan, that a bunch of parts and vessels that came together to make one holy Mishkan for Hashem to dwell in, but yet every part of the Mishkan had their specific job and holiness, so to the Jewish people at the core we’re all one essence, sons of Hashem however, it expresses itself in many different ways, in the different ways we serve hashem,so in reality when we serve the collective whole we’re really contributing to our own individual service, and then, when we’re doing our own service in essence it’s all part of the collective whole. לקו״ש כ״א
