It is a time of crisis or a dire situation. There are many people present who are doing nothing to assist . At such a time, don’t think to yourself that if the great, capable or smart individuals are doing nothing , then who am I to act?
In this week’s Parsha we learn that in actuality, this may be the very reason why you’re in this situation and nobody else is doing anything; it is so that you are the one who should get up and lead. Sometimes there’s a powerful spark or energy within us that we’re not even aware of until we act and make the difference. We learn this from Pinchas, who stepped forward when the Jewish people were in a serious crisis. It was Pinchus who approached the Jewish leaders and inquired of them what should be done. No one acted. Although he was a simple person, he rose up, led and saved many. לקו״ש ב
