Stan sat down in the changing room of Villa Park with Kate Tracey and Alan McInally to discuss his life growing up in Bulgaria, his journey from Celtic to Aston Villa, and eventually receiving the Captain’s armband for the club.

The Villa fan-favourite also opened up about his acute lymphoblastic leukaemia diagnosis; how he heard the news, how his family reacted, and coming to terms with walking away from his footballing career.
