My Kidney Disease Story - Part 1

Hey girl, thank you so much for being here for this episode. In honor of Kidney Disease Awareness Month, I am sharing part of my kidney disease journey. Some of the details will be really personal for me but it is important to me to give as much detail as I can to help others. For many years I refused to speak about my journey because I didn’t want to be seen as a victim of kidney disease or for people to feel bad for me. Because I certainly do not feel that way about my journey, in fact, the complete opposite. It makes me feel proud that even though I have gone through so much physically, mentally, and emotionally due to my illness, I am able to say that I have never given up on goals or dreams, like this podcast. That I continue to fight every day! Yes, it might have taken me longer than other people, but I do not give up. If you or anyone you know has kidney disease, please know you are not alone.
