Jellyrolls reopening

As reported by WDWNT, Scotty Kilwein, one of the piano players mentioned on his live stream that Jellyrolls will be re-opening in mid-October. While not an official announcement, the fact that one of the staff is indicating it is happening is a very good sign!

Bill Dierckson to replace Terri Schultz as head of DVC

This past week Disney sent out an email announcing

I’ll tell you that Bill is an extraordinary leader as well – and no stranger to Disney Vacation Club. He is the perfect person to usher DVC into the future. A 20-year Cast Member, Bill most recently served as vice president of finance for our Disney Signature Experiences portfolio of vacation experiences after working for several years as a director at Disney Vacation Club. Bill is very passionate about DVC and is absolutely dedicated to delivering the most magical Member and Guest experiences while bringing new perspectives and creativity to our organization.

OKW Buybacks

As originally seen in the My DVC Points community, Disney has been sending out buyback offers to owners. This initially started with Old Key West owners only, but it has since been reported that some Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom owners are also getting offers. DVCNews is reporting offers between $80 - 100 are being made by Disney. This is obviously less than resale. prices currently available, but may entice owners due to the simplicity of the process.

Somewhat related, DVCNews also reports that direct pricing for the Old Key West resort has increased to $180 a point.
