Release Date:

In this episode, I am talking about weight loss and the weight loss medication Ozempic, also known as Wegovy and Mounjaro. If you are battling an eating disorder or are recently recovered, please either listen to this episode with care or skip it. Ozempic is contraindicated for anyone with an eating disorder.
By now you have probably heard of Ozempic. Its claim to fame is the latest, and allegedly greatest, weight loss medication on the market. There are rumors of celebrities taking it and there are TikTok before/after photos that are sure to snag anyone's attention. I have patients taking it. I have patients asking about it. I have colleagues who are skeptical and those who are downright angry about it.
What is this supposed wonder weight loss drug? Does it work? How does it work? But most importantly, is it safe?

Tune in today as I scratch the surface of some of the research and my clinical observations on this new weight loss drug!

In this episode, I reference other episodes that continue this conversation in more depth. Check out Science Vs. and Honestly.
