Sister Mary McGehee

Born 1942 in St Louis, MO.  (Sister Mary  just celebrated her 80th birthday October 2022).  At a young age she felt God's presence and calling.  Mary and her family moved 1952 to Tuscaloosa, AL,  finding it being a lonesome time in her life.  There weren't many Catholic's in the south.    She was very close to her brother, they played and built things that he dreamed up.  Once her sister was born Mary loved playing a mommy to her.   She knew in highschool that she would go to college and then become a Nun.  But in her senior year at age 17 she began her walk in becoming a nun.   She then began taking course on Theology.  Began teaching at these small catholic churches.  Where most classes were combined of two class grades at a time.  She taught for 7 years and she was in a different school grade each year.   Sister Mary wrote an audio biography -  My Heart Rejoices.  She has been at the Scared Heart Monastery since 1960.
