Breaking that generational cycle

Release Date:

Jessica is the sweetest human being! She has a heart for those who need to be heard and feel seen. She knows this feeling and can share with you how she has worked through breaking the chains of generations of strong holds that held her captive. She knew God was with her ALL the time not just when she was doing good but even in the hardest days of her life HE was there. Her word this year is uncomfortable. Are you living comfortably or you putting yourself out there - imperfectly. We discussed how easy it is to just stay comfortable, it becomes an unsafe place, staying the same, and not allowing God to lead you into the areas you know you want to grow. So go! Do it uncomfortable! Life is uncomfortable!
What does generational cycle mean - A generational cycle is a habit or behavior that has been passed from one generation to the next. Parents strive to make sure that the life they lead will help their children live a better one. Children practice what they have learned on their own and what they have gathered from generations before them. Some examples of generational cycles are: addictions, mental illnesses, physical illnesses, even poverty to name a few.
What are ways to break generational cycles:
1. Become self-aware of these destructive patterns
2. Educating yourself about family history
3. Taking accountability to own your part
4. Don't be afraid to reach out for help
5. Ensure that it stops with you
6. Accepting the generational cycles are our responsibility to break.
Look at where you are and make plans for where you would like to be. Knowing what you know now, make necessary sacrifices and be as transparent as you can with your children to help them understand what you're doing and why you're doing it.
If you want to know more reach out! We want to help you break the generational cycles that are holding your captive.
