ב"היום יום" של ר"ח סיון מובא הפתגם ש"זרוק חוטרא לאוירא אעיקרי' קאי .. לפעמים העיקרי' מכוסה ונעלם .. וזאת היא עבודת החפץ חיים להסיר את הכיסוים וכו'". והנה אף שפתגם זה נאמר בנוגע לחסידים ותורת החסידות וכו', הרי, בימינו אלה, לאחרי השטורעם" דהפצת המעיינות חוצה במשך ה-45 שנה מאז הדפסת הפתגם ב"היום יום", הן בשנים שבהם הי' כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בחיים חיותו בעלמא דין, והן בשנים לאחרי הסתלקותו שאז ניתוסף בזה ביתר שאת, פעלו שענין זה שייך לכאו"א מישראל: כאו"א מישראל צריך לידע שנשיא דורנו הגביהו מן הארץ, גשמיות העולם, אל האויר – אור י', שנקודת היהדות מאיר אצלו בגילוי, ומכיון שכן, בודאי שמתקיים "אעיקרי' קאי" במשך כל ימי חייו. וזה מהווה הוראה ונתינת-כח בכלל, ובמיוחד בעמדינו לאחרי ר"ח סיון שאז עמדו כל ישראל באופן של "כאיש אחד בלב אחד", שעי"ז נעשים כלי לקבלת התורה – חכמתו ורצונו של הקב"ה, וקרוב לסיום וחותם של העבודה דספיה"ע שעי"ז ממשיכים "שפע רב בכל העולמות" וכו'.. משיחת ב' סיון ה'תשמ"ח

Synopsis
The Hayom Yom for Rosh Chodesh Sivan states: “‘Throw a stick into the air and it will land on its root-side’...Sometimes the root is covered and hidden...And this is the work of one who desires life, to remove the coverings….” Though this adage was said with regards to Chassidim and studying Chassidus etc., nowadays, after having been engaged in spreading the wellsprings outward during the forty-five years since this adage was published in Hayom Yom, during the years when the Rebbe, my father-in-law, was still alive physically in this world, as well as the years after his passing (when these activities increased greatly) – it now applies to every Jew: Every Jew must know that the nasi of our generation has elevated him above the materiality of the world to the air above (“avir” – comprised of or and yud), so that the Jewish spark within him shines openly. Therefore, every Jew will certainly “fall back on his root” throughout his entire life. This teaches us and empowers us in general, and especially as we stand after Rosh Chodesh Sivan, when the entire Jewish people stood “as one man with one heart,” thereby becoming vessels to receive the Torah – the wisdom and will of Hashem – as we approach the conclusion of the service of Sefiras Ha’Omer, through which we bring about “abundant bounty to all the worlds” etc.Excerpt from sichah of 2 Sivan 5748
