Then behold, seven other cows came up after them out of the river, ugly and gaunt, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the river.Genesis 42:1 Jacob saw that there was grain in Egypt; so, Jacob said to his sons, Why do you make yourselves conspicuous?Genesis 42:3 So Joseph’s ten brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt. Genesis 42:7 Joseph saw his brothers and recognized them, but he acted as astranger to them and spoke roughly to them.Genesis 42:9 Joseph recalled the dreams that he dreamed about them and said tothem You are spies! To see the land’s nakedness have you come!Genesis 42:10-11 No, my lord! Your servants have come to buy food. We are all the sons of one man, we are truthful, your servants have never been spies. We are all one man’s sons, we are honest men; your servants are not spies.
