Emily shares with us how CAA is able to maintain a high save rate (86%), despite never turning animals away, along with the impacts of pivoting to a foster-centric model and implementing a wide array of enrichment activities within the shelter.
Emily talks about their goal of improving sustainability in their growth and retaining of volunteers as a major part of Louisiana’s animal welfare community. She highlights the South’s breeding problem, why northern states import animals from the South, and how their volunteer training program helps keep all their volunteers organized and educated.
