Pawareness Episode 2 - Rescue & Foster Awareness │ Mary Tan & Animal Humane Society

Release Date:

On this episode of the Pawareness Podcast, we welcome Mary Tan, Public Relations Manager with Animal Human Society in Minnesota, to talk about the organization, as well as other animal welfare organizations and their common practices. She shares her candid thoughts on the phrase “no kill” that many animal welfare groups use and why Animal Human Society doesn’t use that phrase. Mary describes what practices they must implement in order to accept every animal into their care (Yes, you read that right, they do!) and how coronavirus has impacted the animal rescue community, including offering low cost, income-based veterinary care. She explains what Animal Humane Society does with dangerous dogs or dogs that need more training and then gives much needed attention to the #1 issue in the foster and rescue community.
