In 1948, Peter Wolfgang Löw arrived in Brooklyn. Fatherless, unable to speak English, and carrying unprocessed grief and trauma, Gidon was lost and lonely. One day, in Prospect Park, The HaShomer Hatzair socialist Zionist youth group invited him to join a soccer game.
