Today I got to hop on with some Floridians who took on the Georgia Death Race up by RunBum Tours. This year you had a first timer on the course Kailynn Violette; Mark Proch who has smashed it twice now; and Joshua Gray who went for redemption. What an amazing recap. These three did great!
The Georgia Death Race is 71ishh Miles starting in Vogel State Park with close to 28,000 feet of elevation change ending in Amicalola Falls State Park. The first 8 miles has close to 3,500 feet of elevation change, including the 3.8 mile, 2,300 ft. climb up and over the summit of Coosa Bald. This course takes you to Duncan Ridge to see the sunrise over the back of Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, and the Toccoa Swinging Bridge and Amicalola Falls.
