F1 News From the Nerds - Silly Season Team Principal Special!

The FormulaNerds News Team return for a special 'Team Principal Silly Season' episode of News from the Nerds. Jost Capito leaves Williams:
Things got underway on Monday as Williams Team Principal Jost Capito announced he was stepping down ahead of the 2023 season, along with Technical Director FX Demaison.

Fred Vasseur moves from Alfa Romeo to Ferrari:
Then came the more expected news of Fred Vasseur leaving Alfa Romeo after almost six years to take the Team Principal role at Ferrari which had been vacated by Mattia Binotto.

Andreas Seidl leaves McLaren to become Sauber Group CEO:
But the news which really caught the F1 world by surprise was that of McLaren Team Principal Andreas Seidl leaving the Woking team to become CEO of the Sauber Group as they begin their transition from Alfa Romeo to Audi for the 2026 season.

Andrea Stella promoted to McLaren Team Principal:
And that, of course, left a vacant Team Principal role at McLaren which was filled by Andrea Stella, who was promoted from his role as Executive Director with immediate effect.
