E15: Yorgo Lykouria, Founder and Creative Director of Rainlight

In this episode of The Right Angle Podcast, Elle Liu interviews Yorgo Lykouria, Founder and Creative Director of Rainlight. Rainlight is an integrated design studio with offices in London and New York and client collaborations across North America, Europe, and Asia. Part Laboratory, part workshop, part studio, Rainlight combines inspired design thinking with business acumen to create products that enhance how people live, work, and play in the real world.

Yorgo began his career as an architect working on projects from Airports to high-rises, and became the youngest design director at Helmut Jahn’s office in Chicago. In 2002, he established, the award-winning London studio, Lykouria, which he ran for 12 years as a multidisciplinary practice. 

Yorgo’s broad spectrum of practice includes architecture, design, and filmmaking. He is recognized for his work in automotive interiors for Ferrari, and various works for Vitra, Alape and Dornbracht. Rainlight’s recent design partnerships include collaborations with Allsteel, Arcadia, Tecno, Scavolini, Okamura and Zumtobel.
