Esther Saves the Jews

Esther makes her plea to the King to save the Jewish people. If not, that at the very least you were able to spend time reflecting on God and spending time with God. So, not to sound like a cliche pastor here but don't fall into the trap of new year's resolutions, new year, new you, all of that kind of nonsense. I will link the full on episode, it's 1 of the few episodes that I'm like yeah that probably doesn't doesn't age too poorly back from the original days of buddy walk but we did a back when Edgar and I were doing this together we did a whole episode on New Year's resolutions and so but I am excited to jump back into Esther and keep the story going the last time that we had a conversation in Esther. 02:53 - 03:46Speaker 1: We had gone through Esther, chapter 7, and we had hit Haman's ironic ending. Ironic because he was hanged in the same spot as that he had prepared for Mordecai. And we saw the interference of Esther into the situation and went through all of that. And so now we are picking up with Esther chapter 8 starting at verse 1. On that day, King Ahasuerus gave to Queen Esther the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. 03:47 - 05:14Speaker 1: And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told what he was to her. And the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman and gave it to Mordecai, and Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman. Then Esther spoke again to the king. She fell at his feet and wept and pleaded with him to avert the evil plan of Haman the Agagite, and the plot that he had devised against the Jews.
