The Old Elk Distillery was founded in 2013 by Curt Richardson and proudly calls Fort Collins, Colorado home. With longtime MGP distiller Greg Metze at the helm, Old Elk's "quiet on purpose" motto has been tested by the excellent and buzzworthy products they are releasing. In this episode, we taste and review Old Elk Cigar Cut Island Blend. Coming in at 111.7 proof and boasting four different types of base distillate with secondary cask finishing of 2 years (sherry, port, rum, and sauternes), there is no telling what we will think of this one.
