Chapter 1 of the short science fiction novella, "The Device." This is an adventure story in which a simple farmer discovers a strange device in his field. This leads to a search for its purpose and a realization that the world is not what it seems.

This is the first chapter of the story and the first episode of this new series. All chapters will be released along with additional stories.
