268. The Stayner Brothers -- He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

Release Date:

True crime always brings tragedy, but few have suffered more than the Stayner family. This is the tale of two brothers and their polarizing experiences in the darkest places of humanity—one as a victim, and one as a perpetrator.
Erratta: We went pretty hard at the judge for the 20 month sentence in this case. Apparently California had the most f'd up sentencing laws in history at the time, and the judge's hands were tied. So just imagine that rant was directed at whatever moron legislators thought a second kidnapping should receive a lower sentence than the first.
