S2E5: Partnership and Collaboration

Welcome to this week’s episode of The AUSA Podcast! Today, we continue our conversation about culture making with our friend and fellow member of the CAT, Booker! Join us as we sit down to talk about two things: divine partnership and human collaboration. We take a look at Genesis 2 (again, it's just that good!) to see how God invites Man into partnership with Him from the very beginning: He wants Man to participate in this project that He has started. God realizes that it is not good for Man to be alone, so He makes a helper—the Hebrew word here, "ezer," is actually more of a military term that means "deliverer"—for him, Woman, so that he can have someone to work alongside as he works with God. 
We talk about how the means by which the Bible was created reinforces this idea that God wants to partner with humanity, and we track this theme all the way through the Bible until we arrive at Jesus, where divine partnership and human collaboration culminate in his ministry. After Jesus leaves his disciples, they continue the blending of partnership and collaboration by furthering the Church with the "help" (a similar idea to "ezer" from Genesis) of the Holy Spirit. We end out the episode by outlining some benefits of collaboration, and thinking through some practical ways that we can fight pride and cultivate attitudes of partnership and collaboration in our own lives.
