Flushing is Burning: PR Pride

Release Date:

Grace is back with another installment in the Gay Grimace Mets era. They’re winning, they’re having fun, and the fans are embracing the big purple entity. They have some surging players, some players out for various reasons, but they continue to add to the win column.
Next, Grace gets into the women’s sports and the importance of pride and advocacy. The WNBA does it right, leaning in in a multitude of ways. US women’s soccer, both club and country, has a little more to do, following the inclusion of Korbin Albert on the national team roster. Grace discusses the hurt of this situation, why the efforts to rehabilitate her ring hollow, and the great stories of this roster being overshadowed by this decision.
Finally, Grace ends Pride Month with a musical double feature. Bothweird, full of great performances, and complicated stories that fascinate courtesy of two of Hollywood’s more complex filmmakers.
