Thymus Chakra Meditation

In this episode we are exploring one of the minor chakras - the thymus or higher heart chakra. This is positioned between the heart and throat chakras and is representative of karmic awareness, transformation and unconditional love – a love that is free of ego – it also holds compassion, and forgiveness. These qualities are often associated with the Anahata – heart chakra – but we can begin to be a little more subtle with where this energy is held when we start looking at the minor chakras. It is also closely associated with our Thymus gland which is most active during adolescence and almost completely inactive by the time we reach the age of 50. The thymus’s function is to produce the T-cells that make up our immune system that sustains us throughout our life. An open thymus chakra also gifts us with strong immunity and so we can see that having awareness of this chakra is important due to it being so closely linked with our overall vitality and well-being.This Thymus chakra is a place of spiritual growth. It is placed such that it is clearly a bridge between the emotions that we feel within our heart chakra and the words that we give to those emotions and our verbal expression of them at the throat chakra. As such it holds a lot of intent – intent to be forgiving, soulful, compassionate and to pass this on, spread this energy to those around us.
