Self-Soothing Meditation

As babies we learnt to self soothe with a pacifier or a soft toy and sometimes as adults we need to remember that we have the capacity to soothe ourselves from difficult emotions. In this meditation I offer you a beautiful and practical tool for self-soothing that I feel is very deeply comforting. Using the breath will always regulate the nervous system and when we practice these gentle breaths we are very mindfully bringing ourselves peace and comfort. The fact that we have this ability is, in itself, immensely empowering and comforting.
