New York, we’ve come a long way! Happy Thanksgiving week to you and yours, hoping that you can spend it with those you love this year, wherever you may be. Episode 47, I bring you Part. 2 of From New York with Love with Zigs (Erica Zigon). Zigs and I talk about how her iconic New York songs nearly didn’t happen, and how the song Manhattan was born in the living room of her small apartment. It was there in which it all began and the entire band jammed out in an impromptu session to create the foundation for the song. She also  reveals the band who sparked her creative process for this New York centric album, plus much more. And, as the winter and holidays approach, we also discuss her non-profit We've Got You Covered (WGYC), which aims to help the homeless population in the city by providing blankets, shoes, clothes and above all a human to human connection.  Zigs notes, she’s learned more speaking to these homeless individuals and hearing their stories than she did throughout her schooling.
