Habtamu Cheney just graduated from college and ran a 63:19 half marathon debut (20 seconds shy of the US Trials standard) and then followed that up with a 2:16:12 marathon debut. But he’s got an enormous amount of upside, now that he’s gotten into the Conner Mantz group chat and is being coached by Ed Eyestone. In this conversation, we talk about how he’s feeling with the US Marathon Trials in Orlando just two weeks away, what shoes he’s been training in, and what he’ll be racing in.
