US Steel, NYT vs. OpenAI, House Majority, Boebert Switch, A.I. in the Courts

Mike and Jay open the preview of this supporters’ midweek episode with a discussion of Nippon Steel’s planned purchase of US Steel. While the pending acquisition has drawn some bipartisan opposition, both Mike and Jay think it’s a good deal for nearly everyone.
Next is a look at the New York Times’ lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft for copyright infringement. Jay points out that this is almost entirely new territory, with Mike commenting that once again, technology is moving faster than our legal system.
