UNC offers Miikka Murinen...created in a Hubert Davis lab | Jasper Johnson down to 5 | Juice update | ACC Football Kickoff | Olympic Tar Heels

The Tar Heels, on Wednesday, made their sixth offer in the class of 2026, this one going to Finnish player Miikka Muurinen (whose mom played for UNC!). Muurinen, at 6’10, can do a little bit of everything and is going to be a great PF for whoever lands his services. Muurinen had a strong showing at Peach Jam, including shooting 50% from three. Jasper Johnson has cut his list to five schools – UNC, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisville, and Alabama. Also…an interesting update concerning New Zealand’s Julius Halaifonua. The Tar Heels attended ACC Football Kickoff on Thursday, represented by Conner Harrell, Max Johnson, Power Echols, Kaimon Rucker, and Omarion Hampton, along with JJ Jones acting as a reporter. Ross Dellenger from Yahoo reports that we might be getting additional scholarships in college athletics. There are 14 Tar Heels competing in the Olympics.
