The Weekly Stuff #458 - Nintendo Direct Breakdown & Metroid Prime Remastered

Release Date:

Nintendo didn’t just drop a surprise Nintendo Direct on us this week, but delivered an event chock-full of surprises and a huge number of immediate releases – most notably the long-rumored, much-anticipated Metroid Prime Remastered, a terrific release that is pretty much the platonic ideal of a video game remaster. But we also got GameBoy and GameBoy Advance games on Switch for the first time via the Online service, got new demos for imminent releases like Octopath Traveler II and Kirby: Return to Dream Land Deluxe, got our first real look at Pikmin 4, and saw our first decent chunk of gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. We talk about all this and more – and you better believe Jonathan is here to spread the gospel of Metroid Prime. Enjoy! Time Chart:Theme Song: 0:00:00 – 0:00:40Intro & Stuff: 0:00:40 – 0:16:56Nintendo Direct Breakdown: 0:16:56 – 1:25:40Subscribe to JAPANIMATION STATION, our sister series about the wide, wacky world of anime: https://www.youtube.com/c/japanimationstation  Explore our archives and subscribe to The Weekly Stuff Podcast on all podcasting platforms:https://weeklystuffpodcast.comFollow The Weekly Stuff Wordcast newsletter for regular updates and extra content! https://weeklystuff.substack.comEnding music by Thomas Lack https://www.thomaslack.com/
