The Craft (1996) with special guest Sarah Heidelberg

Release Date:

On today's episode, we're heading over to St. Bernard's Academy for homeroom, cast some spells to get our deepest wishes, and we're also going to invoke the spirit, while we revisit the 90s teen horror flick, The Craft (1996). This movie was directed by Andrew Fleming, and was co-written by Peter Filardi and Andrew Fleming. This movie stars Robin Tunney (Empire Records, Prison Break), Fairuza Balk (The Worst Witch, Return to Oz), Neve Campbell (Scream, Wild Things), and Rachel True (Nowhere, Embrace of the Vampire). Also included in the cast are Skeet Ulrich (Riverdale, As Good As It Gets), Breckin Meyer (Clueless, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare), and Cliff DeYoung (Dr. Giggles, Shock Treatment). This movie has its highs and lows, for sure. If anything, it's an example of a horror movie that explores the idea and world of witchcraft, and is an example of a decent mid-90s horror flick. This movie is also an absolute sleepover movie (especially for young women and probably queer folks), so it has a certain place in the hearts of the fans that grew up with it. It's worth a watch if you've never seen it, and for a horror fan, definitely should be on the list to watch, as well.Intro/Outro Music: "Phantom Fun" by Jonathan BoyleShow E-Mail: cultcinemacircle@gmail.comFollow Cult Cinema Circle on Instagram, Twitter, and Letterboxd Hosted on Acast.
