Perfect Blue (1997)

On today's episode, we're logging onto Mima's Room, turning on an episode of Double Bind, and also trying to evade the weird pop idol ghost that's chasing us around Japan, while we revisit the absolutely beautiful anime classic, Perfect Blue (1997). This film was directed by Satoshi Kon and written by Sadayuki Murai.This movie stars Junko Iwao (Cardcaptor Sakura, Attack on Titan), Rica Matsumoto (Pokemon, Naruto), Shiho Niiyama (Detatoko Princess, Agent Aika), Masaaki Okura (Akira, Dragon Ball Z), and Shinpachi Tsuji (Cowboy Bebop, The Big O).This movie is such a beautiful film, and is honestly so goddamn unsettling for a host of different reasons. This is a great psychological horror film, and it's an absolute treat to watch and cover it on the show.
