Stop the excuses already and really think about what you can do without! 
You know, the more stuff you have, the more time you have to spend taking care of those things... So, I'm going to ask you again. Do YOU Really need that?? 
If you didn't have it, would you waste more time? Would you be able to do the same thing with something else? Would it be so bad if you just took down the curtains for a while? 
I'm a big fan of home decor and beautiful spaces, but the things in my home and my client's homes that require extra steps or care to maintain, sometimes aren't worth it! Other times, they just need to be rearranged!
