In Allen v. Milligan, the Supreme Court reviewed whether Alabama’s Congressional maps violated Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. A three-judge district court panel found that the plaintiffs demonstrated a sufficient likelihood on success on the merits against Alabama. Chief Justice Roberts, writing for the majority, affirmed.
