This week, Jake and Bob are joined by Duane and Carrie Daunt to discuss what living out our identity of father or mother can look like as a biological parent. Duane and Carrie share the challenges and joys of parenting a large family and the role sacrifice plays in creating a strong and loving home. They also talk about how their own woundedness has impacted their parenting journey, the role of community, and what to do when spouses disagree.   Key Points: Duane’s sacrifice and willingness to put the needs of his family above his own is an essential aspect of creating a loving home. Community and mentorship play a crucial role in raising children and passing on the faith. Parenting a large family comes with unique challenges but also brings great joy and fulfillment. Our own woundedness and past experiences can impact our parenting journeys. It is important to seek healing and restoration in those areas. We are human and will make mistakes.
