Jackalope Jam 100 Hour with Amanda, Nick and Veronica

Release Date:

This week on the HappyCast, we venture down to the wind tunnels of 7IL ranch outside Houston, TX, to talk with some of the recent Jackalope Jam 100hr participants. We have the overall winner, Nick Petterson, who logged over 280 miles and nabbed the course record. We also have the second overall, and first female winner, Amanda Oliver, who went over 230 miles. And finally, we have Veronica Pardo, who went from a 50k to her first 100+ miler  during this event.  Oh, then there’s Andrew, who survived and came out standing upright. We talk about the challenges of running around a cone for 100+ laps, battling the elements, dealing with windburn, campsite destruction due to a random “sand hurricane” the first few days, the logistical issues of doing this event, and holding each other accountable and the insane support shown during this event. And of course, why the ruckers were having the time of their lives out there (congratulations Sierra; really would like to hear your perspective sometime). Be sure to subscribe to the podcast wherever you listen, and we always appreciate you leaving a good rate and review.
