Ready? Fight! This week on To Kill A Delibird we continue discussing Pokemon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back! Our part 2 discussion covers the latter half of the movie and a seriously sleep deprived Kellan. The Mewtwo mystery reaches a boiling point and war has broken out. On the elusive “New Island”, the greatest Pokemon trainer in the world is revealed to also be the world’s greatest Pokemon. Ash and the gang find themselves on the set of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Then we get the narrative of Megadeth’s 90s classic “Holy Wars”, specifically the lines: “Brother killing brother, shedding blood across the land”. Pokemon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back is surprisingly good on rewatch and actually aged decently well. We had a shadow ball discussing this whole movie and we hope you have fun too!
