100 Investors Rejected Her Pitch. Now She Has 10 Spas and Will Double Next Year

Release Date:

Rachel Liverman, founder of Glowbar, is on the Female Founder World podcast with Jasmine Garnsworthy! Through the height of the pandemic Rachel Liverman did the impossible. She launched and scaled her brick and mortar business, a clinical 30 minute facial bar, Glowbar, across New York and beyond. Since launching in 2019 Rachel has raised $10M, launched 10 Glowbar locations, and now employs over 150 people, including a huge team of aestheticians. Rachel’s first step for bringing her vision to life was to raise money from investors. After getting 100 'no's' from investors, she finally closed her fundraise.  In this episode Rachel shares how she took a non-traditional route to raising money from investors (no really, no one does what she did!), and how she handled all that rejection in the beginning. With the first $1M investment in the bank, Rachel opened her first Glowbar in New York. Their marketing approach was very grassroots, and it’s an approach they still use today, including partnering with local businesses and posting fliers in the neighborhood.  Listen to this episode of the Female Founder World podcast to hear Rachel's story and to get business tips you can copy and paste.  Links Get the Female Founder World newsletter https://femalefounderworld.beehiiv.com Join our free workshop series, Launch Lab: https://www.femalefounderworld.com/launch-lab Become a Business Bestie subscriber: femalefounderworld.com/subscriber Get our quick case studies on TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@jasgarnsworthy Shop Rachel's brand: https://glowbar.com/
